Traveled to Yreka after getting out of Oregon MotorCoach on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 11. The next day we drove through Shasta and onto Sparks Marina. The freeway was a mess due to construction along with all the fire damage on both sides of the road.
Once we got to Sparks, we did not do much except visit our favorite steakhouse at Western Village for excellent food and coffee diablo.
We then drove on to Hawthorne, Amargosa Valley and then stayed in Las Vegas at the Hitchin Post for 3 nights. Of course the highlight is to visit with Tif and family. We were also able to connect with a second cousin that we had not seen for over 12 years. We met her and her daughter at the Bellagio conservatory. The entire group seemed to have a great time at the conservatory and then on to a Chicago Pizza place.
We then spent two nights in Kingman, AZ and visited with another second cousin. They were just waiting for her husband to retire and had sold their home and are currently living in their new fifth wheel.
We arrived into Phoenix on Sept 24, and got packed and the coach set so we could leave on our cruise to the Eastern Seaboard on Sept. 28.
