Remainder of Summer before heading South

This summer we spent two weeks in Salem, July 30 - Aug 13, giving us more time to visit with family and friends.  We attended a couple of family picnics and attended the August State Farm pizza luncheon.

We went wine tasting with cousins at a new winery near the Wheatland Ferry called Arcane Cellars.  They had a great variety of wine and then we went to one of our favorite West Salem wineries, Witness Tree.

We took a friend, Donna to Pacific City to enjoy the beach and had lunch at one of our favorite breweries, Pelican Brew Pub.

We made our second trip to Oregon Motorcoach in Eugene, Sept 13 - 16, this time to do normal maintenance and unfortunately they found a hole in our exhaust system, so we will be going back on Sept 6.

Sept 17 we headed to Estacada and we both took a gun safety class all day on Saturday.  Friends that own the Agate Creek winery came down to our friends campground in Estacada and spent Sunday night.

On Tuesday, we headed back to Chehalis and had two Saturdays of wine tasting, one with friends from Puyallup and the following Saturday there were 10 of us, family and friends, doing the same two wineries; Bateaux and Agate Creek.  We were finally able to get the Explorer into the shop after being rear ended in July.

On Wednesday, August 29th, our friends from Estacada came to Chehalis to camp with us until Tuesday, Sept. 4.  Sunday, our nephew and family came and spent the day with us and our friends youngest daughter and her family was there to visit also.

We then finished up Craig's doctor appointments and Craig headed south to Eugene on Thursday, Sept. 6 and I travelled to Puyallup to stay the night with a friend before doing my last appointment on Friday.  On my way to Puyallup, I stopped in Lacey at our nephew's home and saw our great niece Logan (10 months) and her grandmother and gave her  a gift that I designed and made.
