We arrived into Yuma on Feb. 1, this being our third year of traveling to Yuma, AZ. We enjoy the weather and come to Yuma to spend time with our very special friends we met in Palm Desert our first winter of traveling. There is not much to do in the Yuma area, so we just spend the time with friends, park activities, etc. We went to movies and lots of restaurants during the two months and even did an overnight trip to Palm Desert for a change of scenery.
I took a beginning quilting class at Joanns and started a table runner for Valentines Day. This will take a little more practice to get it finished, but I bought more material to make an Easter and Saint Patricks Day runner as well. I also started knitting again with the thought that I will make various lap throws and then donate them to Elks clubs to share with nursing homes, Alzheimers patients and Vets. I completed my first one in Yuma, and started another.
We attended one of the groups 91st birthday party, Nelda.
Last year Craig and our friend Mike smoked Pork Spareribs and it was such a hit that we decided to do it again, inviting about 18 people and used the get together to also celebrate Lou's birthday.

The park has a party for all the winter snowbirds arriving and then again one for when everyone leaves. We've never been there long enough to attend, but this year since we stayed through March we attended the Going Away party.

While we were in Yuma, my aunt and two cousins along with their husbands and son were also in Yuma. We visited with them a couple of times over the two months. My second cousin Josh was hospitalized two different times over the two months and my aunt was in the hospital for over a week. We went up to the hospital and visited her a couple of times.
Craig and Mike went shooting at an indoor range a couple of times and took a Shooting Class on Saint Patrick's Day.
Lots of beautiful sunsets while in Yuma. The weather was great over the two months, actually hitting 100 degrees the weekend we were getting ready to leave.
We left the park on April 2, after getting the motorhome, trailer and Explorer washed and waxed and traveled to Cottonwood, AZ where we will spend a week. We took the "Yuma crud" with us in the form of lots of coughing and congestion, but hopefully that will leave us soon.
