We travelled to Lake Powell on April 9 and will stay for two weeks. The "crud" has stayed with us for the first week here, so we did a little, but took it pretty easy.
Our site in Wahweap Campground was great and we had an excellent view of the lake. Overall the weather was good, but we had at least three different days of wind with 20 mph and 40-50 mile gusts, and only one day with some rain.
Glen Canyon Dam, is the second largest dam in the US with Hoover Dam being the largest. It was built between 1956-66 and is still under major controversy as to it's need. The Glen Canyon steel arch bridge when built was the second-highest bridge of it's kind in the world, sitting 700 feet above the river.

We took a drive on the 89A/89 loop through Kanab visiting Horseshoe Bend, Navajo Bridge Interpretive Center, Vermillion Cliffs and then Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument.
While at Lake Powell, I finished my second lap throw/afghan and as soon as we arrived in St. George on April 23, I looked up the Elks Lodge. We dropped two of them off at the St. George Elks club on Tuesday and then with the extra room in the coach, we went to JoAnns to buy more yarn. The Elks club will donate them to a great charity organization or use them to get donations for charities - such as Alzheimer units, Veterans or nursing homes.
