We did many of the same things that we have done in the past. Met with friends, enjoyed all the friends we've made in the park, and attended a couple of Christmas events. We also had the opportunity to volunteer by serving dinner at the Phoenix Rescue Mission.
Attended the Australia Ten Tenors Christmas Show with friends that used to live in Puyallup and we also spent Thanksgiving dinner with them.
My Birthday dinner, lobster, at Papadeaux Seafood Kitchen:
Took golf lessons - still need lots of practice so we have spending more time on the driving range rather than playing golf, even though we've done a couple of games.
Went wine tasting at Winery 101:
Spent a weekend in Las Vegas to do Christmas with the kids, but Nick had been put in the hospital the week before we got there. He needed to have his appendix out, but it burst as they were removing it, and he ended up staying in the hospital almost 2 weeks. We spent the time going back and forth to the hospital, spending time with Hunter and Kailey to include shopping and then fixing them lots of leftovers.
We volunteered again to take a child shopping for the Elk's Christmas event. The little guy we had this year, happened to be the younger brother of the boy we took last year. He was in Kindergarten and was very small, still in toddler sizes.
First time to The Angry Crab with friends within the park. Wow, it was really good but very messy.
Made our chex mix again on the smoker/barbeque:
Attended a Christmas performance at Dream City Church:
Friends took us out to dinner and then we drove to the Phoenix International Raceway to enjoy the Christmas lights.
From mid-October until we left we had some great neighbors from Pennsylvania. He was there to have a lung transplant and so we were able to help his wife and dogs while she was running back and forth to the hospital and then once he got out of the hospital, they had many long days of doctor visits so we continued to walk doggies.
