Onto Sundance Wyoming

We had a week off between rallies so we spent six days in Sundance Wyoming.  We did some "homework" from all the learnings from our seminar attendance.  We also closed on our house so we made our full-timing official - home is where the wheels are.  We also did some site seeing in the area to include South Dakota - Devil's Tower, Sturgis, Crazy Horse, and Mt Rushmore.  The country was beautiful, lots of green fields and lots of wildlife.

We again experienced lots of great weather, but again we experienced thunderstorms and lightening along with a hail storm while Craig was barbecuing steak one evening.

The "girls" are enjoying retirement life with us, but can't wait til they get a chance to catch up on all the sleep they are missing now that we are up and going all day long with them.

FMCA Rally in Gillette Wyoming

We enjoyed our first rally, attending a lot of seminars on RVing - everything from tire maintenance, fire safety, RV space saving tips, special insurance needs, how to full-time, etc.  Also lots of new things to buy to add to the motorhome.  This FMCA rally had about 2500 motorhomes in attendance so we met lots of new people and learned from their many adventures.  We also had some crazy weather - most of the time it was very warm, but we experienced our first of three hail storms in the motorhome.  Lots of rain, 70 mph winds, hard nickel sized hail and lots of thunder and lightening.  A little scary, but minor damage to our bicycles, nothing to the motorhome or Explorer.

Traveling to Wyoming

We left Washington for Wyoming on June 14th, needing to check into our first Family Motor Coach Association Rally on June 18th in Gillette Wyoming.  We travelled across Washington, through Idaho, Montana and then went south into Wyoming from Billings Montana.  So easy travelling as we felt like we were the only ones on the road.

Setting up our leased campsite.

We spent our first week of retirement in our leased campsite with friends.  We started with building a storage shed on the site.  Lexie started with getting to know her "friends" at the site.
